Prophetic Release Conference 2011

I am so glad Prophetic Release Conference is here again. From Thursday 10th November to Sunday 13th November 2011, we shall be experiencing an unusual release of God's presence over our lives and nation. My desire is to see all of us being transformed from glory to glory. The theme for this year is "The wind of Revival" - even though the wind of destruction is blowing across the world, because of iniquity of men. God told me that the wind of the spirit of revival will blow in our lives to revive, restore and recover all that the enemy (devil) has stolen in our lives.

Hosea 6:1-3, Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

The Lord opened my eyes to the decadence in the world and the church. It is very clear that God's people are no longer pursuing the things of the Spirit, rather they are driven by lust of the flesh and corruption of the world. Many believers, ministries and churches that started well in the spirit, are now being controlled by the desire of the flesh and personal ambition. Therefore we need the wind of revival to sweep over us. The economic melt down has succeeded in bringing desperation and manipulation rather than hunger to do the will of God for greater exploits and posterity.

My beloved it is time for us to come together and examine ourselves as you prepare to make yourselves available on Thursday 10th November till Sunday 13th November 2011 at Faith Plaza, C.M.S. Road, Bariga, Lagos. The grand finale, on Sunday 13th November, will be taking place at Living Power Ministries auditorium, No. 1, Oshifila Street, Anifowose, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

There will be a flow of healing streams for those that are sick in their body and those with broken hearts.

POWER OF VISION

The journey to a colourful destiny starts with a vision. Vision is imperative to what, when and where we would like to get to in life. God is a God of purpose, who gives direction to a person as to how to get to his destination. You are created to fulfill destiny.

Jeremiah 1:5-10

1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.


You need to discover what will make you have a meaningful life that is well aligned to the fulfillment of your destiny. The power of vision is that force that will make you to arrive safely.

Habakkuk 2:1-4

2:1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.


You cannot live a purposeful life until there is a powerful force of vision driving you. Paul the apostle was an example. He engaged in a destructive mission until he got the sense of direction for his life (vision).

Acts 26:2-19

26:2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

26:3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

26:8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

26:9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

26:10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

26:11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

26:12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:


You need the experience of an encounter with God before you can know the vision of God for your life. You must have a strong desire like Paul who said "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" Philippians 3:10.

The more encounter you have with God, the more your vision becomes clearer and the more you are passionate about it. There is no quick fix about it, God is the giver of all vision .................... (to be continued)

In Pursuit of Excellence

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1 Cor. 9:22-27

I’d like to welcome you to the rest of the year 2010. What a splendid, well spent six months of the year of Reawakening of the Spirit. I woke up the first day of the month of July with a deep revelation of the urgency to do more for the Lord. No matter the challenges that stand against you, there is no need to doubt whatever result was achieved between January and June.

I hear the Lord speaking to me that we must develop the ability to be great thinkers, which is the key to excellence. You must broaden and enlarge your mind to be able to receive Divine instruction. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Therefore, the way you surrender your life to do the will of God determines the grace that will be released unto you to succeed. You must strive for mastery and fight against all odds that may want to limit you to mediocrity. God’s desire for you is to break forth into excellence in all things, you are meant to be the best in life. The earth is waiting for your manifestation to turn around the depression, agony and sorrow that has filled the earth.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:18-19

You are the answer to this generation; lift up your head to see the cry of humanity rather than your own problems. No matter what you are confronted with, it can be subdued when your focus is to attain excellence. There is nothing in this life that comes easy; you must fight the good fight of faith to reach your goals. The accuracy of your target will determine your strength to be distinguished. The hallmark of your race is that it costs you something. It is the price everyone must pay in pursuit of excellence. It’s your turn to shine.

HELPERS OF DESTINY

Everyone has a destiny to fulfill on the earth; you have a mission to fulfill on behalf of God. The word destiny describes your mission on the earth according to the programme of God. Your existence is useless without destiny. Somebody said "Abuse is inevitable when the purpose of a thing is not known".

So many people are living an abused or debased life because they are naive of their mission on the earth. Every destiny has a direction and destination, your destiny is to glorify God on the earth. Fate is not your destiny as some believe in many quarters. Some naive people think that what fate doles out to them is their destiny. Your destiny is a perfect and a good gift from God to your generation.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17)

If every good and perfect gift comes from God, it implies that gifts that are not good and complete come from the devil. The greek word used to describe the word good is "Agathos", which means benefitting, well and anything which promotes your well-being. On the other hand, the word "Teleois" is used to describe perfect, which means highly proficient, necessary and adequate. All things that are beneficial and complete to your life and destiny comes from God.

RE-AWAKING OF THE SPIRIT

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into thekingdom of God

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:5-6)

No matter the effort put in by man, you cannot reach God in the flesh, in fact the flesh is at enmity to him. I have seen so many people who try their best to impress God through tithing, activities in the church and singing praises, but do things that are contrary to the things of the Spirit.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing (John 6:63)

Jesus spoke these words when he came in the flesh to this world.

A man who thrives to worship God in the flesh and hopes for acceptability from Him, needs to know that he is just a religious man. He does not have anything to do with godliness, neither can he understand God.

God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship [Him] in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Cor 2:14)

A natural man is a man of the flesh who's spirit is not awakened to the Spirit of God . He only walks according to the dictates of the selfish ambitions of his fleshly desire. We have so many in the church today, thy are prominent among us in the charismatic and pentecostal organization.

They are possessed with the desire for title but not the glory; they engage in the work of the flesh.

They like immorality, deception, pride, covetousness, materialism, malice and take God for their playmate. They are so familiar with God they don't realize they are swimming in iniquity. These are men of the flesh, they have nothing to do with the spirit of God. They only pretend and take advantage of the vulnerable people who are helpless - because they also don't understand the things of the spirit.

For to be carnally minded is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Many believers are dead spiritually, they only live in the fantasy of their old glory.

The Lord told me that the church needs a quickened spirit that will bring the revelation of the true love of God in the heart of his people. Many spiritual leaders have taken the place and purpose of the Holy Spirit, hence many people's destiny are being destroyed.

This is the time to be awake in the spirit and allow Him to take His place.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light..................And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Eph 5:14,18)

To be drunk with wine in excess is to be drunk in the flesh, materialism and lust, but to be filled with the Spirit is to be led of the Spirit and follow His instructions, even when contrary to our fleshy desire.

A perfect obedience to do His will no matter what may cost us. There is a need not to succumb to the lust of the flesh that is pleasurable, but to the working of the Holy Spirit that quickeneth us for a life that is pleasing to God.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (1 Cor 2:9-11)

Men of the spirit are those that understand the things of the spirit and seek the deep things of God.

The deep things of God cannot be received on the surface, neither can you find it in the flesh. It will take a great discovery in the spirit to locate it, because deep revelation of God can only be discerned when we have insight into spiritual things.

God is calling us into a reawakening that will stir up a total fellowship with the Holy Spirit, that will direct our steps in His way - then shall we have a prosperous and fulfilled destiny this year. Amen.

Welcome to 2010 our year of "Reawakening". I'm Rev Femi Ajayi, the presiding pastor of Living Power Ministries, an apostolic and prophetic ministry with a mandate of liberating and giving people divine direction. In a new year like this, many people will need to know the mind of God - therefore on this Facebook and my webpage ("olufemiajayi.blogspot.com") I will be sharing the mind of God with you for this year, line upon line, precept upon precept.

Let me start to say that there will be a change in your life if you follow divine instruction. The Lord said to me that there will be challenges and tough times ahead (Malachi 4:1-2). You can also read Isaiah 8:8-10.

What will guarantee your victory and liberation is the presence of God. Before you take any step this year, you must be sure that the Lord is with you (Exodus 33:15,19).

Second, you must walk in the way of the Lord. With a strong hand the Lord said, "don't walk in the way of unbelievers or gentiles" (Isaiah 8:11)

Third, don't say what the world is saying. Don't join  them to talk distress, meltdown, economy woes etc, because it is the year of the Word and Spirit, and anything you say will be binding on you (Isaiah 8:12). You must learn how to speak the word of God into your life.

Fourth, you must sanctify (separate) yourself wholly unto him and serve Him with sincerity of purpose. Your dedication must be unto him first (Isaiah 8:13).

Finally, I like to inform you that your turn to rise out of the gross darkness that has befallen the earth is here. It is just for you to trust Him, not in yourself, business or job. The arm of flesh will fail many people, but they that trust in the Lord shall not be put to shame.

I shall not be saying some specific things the Lord told me about the church and Nigeria through this medium.

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace

This is the phrase that best describes the amazing things that took place at this year's Prophetic Release Conference. We started on Thursday 12th November 2009 with a special welcome package from heaven. It was very clear that the Word of the Lord for now is the “Re-awakening of the Spirit”. The Lord spoke through his servant Rev Femi Ajayi that the flesh had overwhelmed the spirit in the generation of believers today.

God spoke to us that the flesh profited nothing, but the Spirit that makes alive. Apart from the word of God, we also had the presence of 12 pastors and other leaders of various ministries on the first day.

The morning session of the second day, which was Friday 13th November was very impact-full with the word “Process of Time” being emphasized by the Holy Spirit. God's servant, Pastor Kunle Obasa, spoke on “Upper Room Overflow”. The Lord spoke to us that it is important to wait on him until due time.

The evening session was absolutely awesome. More ministers were present and the revelation insight God gave was on “The Need to Enter into a New Dimension of Favour”.

Saturday 14th November was an extra-ordinary day. In the annals of Prophetic Release Conference, we have never experienced God's Glory as we did that morning. The meeting started at 6:30AM and by 7:00AM the people were fully seated in the auditorium. We couldn't 'leave' God's presence until 12:00PM. We prayed, cried unto the Lord and many were on the floor seeking the face of God for revival.

The word of the Lord was very strong because of the visitation of the Lord through His servant, Prophet Akinbolade. He ministered along with Rev Femi Ajayi and Pastor Kunle Obasa. It was so marvellous that the Lord instructed the convener that the evening programme was no longer necessary.

At this year's conference, we had about 37 pastors and different people in leadership positions from various ministries. They were fed and accommodated by the sacrifice of those who believed in this move of God. We sincerely appreciate them for all their support.

The conference came to a close on Sunday 15th November 2009 with a very strong message from Rev Femi Ajayi about what God spoke to him about a “New Movement of Spiritually Minded Believers” that are going to confront the giant that is holding the Nations in bondage. The Lord said to him that the liberation will start from the church in Nigeria, especially from empire builders who are subduing the people of God in the name of title and other manipulations.

Ephesians 5:14 Therefore it is said, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."

I like to invite you to this year's Prophetic Release Conference - the seventh of its kind. It will commence on Thursday 12th November and end on Sunday 15th November 2009. We are repeating this theme for the second time, due to my personal encounter with the Lord concerning his people and the nations of the earth. My understanding was opened by the Lord to see the decadence in the spirit and the vanity of men's hearts. The Lord told me that we are no longer pursuing the things of the spirit, but are driven by the lust of the flesh. Many that started well in the spirit have lost their rhythm. They are now controlled by the desires of the flesh. TheHoly Spirit has been grieved so much that the things we hear and see are motivated by the ambitions of men. We need a rekindle of the holy spirit until overflow. Economy meltdown have succeed in bringing out desperation and greediness, rather than walking in the Spirit to be able to access the supernatural, in order to escape the detrimental effect of this plague called "Meltdown".

I grew up in faith with this popular song. Even though i don't know the writer, but then i heard it frequently on television and it became part of my life.
There is no other time that God is demanding his praise from us than now.
The bible says:-
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the lord, and sing praises unto thy name o most high, To show forth thy loving kindness in the morning and faithfulness every night ( psalm 92 : 1- 2 )
It is amazing to see men created by the Almighty God to be singing the praise of themselves. That is the reason for the calamity that has before our world, where everything has fail as a result of the arrogant of men, because of little achievement. Now that the economy has collapsed, insecurity of lives and properties, outbreak of disease and disasters like hurricane, fire and sea upsurge.
It is necessary to look in the right direction and give what is due to him that has created the Heaven and the earth.
"O come let us sing unto the lord. Let make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalm.
O come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the lord our maker, for his our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his land- ...........................
The way out of this turbulent time is the desire to come together to praise our everlasting father.
The lord spoke to me that it those who take it to heart to give praise, thanks, and glory to him that we escape the affliction of this present time.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart.
2:3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, [even] the dung of your solemn feasts; and [one] shall take you away with it. ( Malachi 2 : 2 - 3 )
Your access to grace, breakthrough and favour will be through praise. His praise must be continually in your mouth throughout this year.

OVERCOMING YOUR ADVERSARY

 

Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

 

Two decades ago, I went to the mountaintop with a friend to pray on some personal issues, we were there for a few days. I saw serious minded believers like us praying and seeking God’s face, but I was shocked to see two men who are supposed to be believers like us attacking each other in tongues and in the name of Jesus. They were vehemently cursing and sending spiritual arrows so that one, or the other, can suffer serious casualty.

 

Many believers are still living in this ignorance till date. In fact some pastors make it more difficult for their sheep to understand the scriptures, which made it clear to us that the devil is our adversary. Beloved, the scriptures cannot be broken, since it has been proven for ages, that God’s Word (The Bible) is the truth. We must therefore not walk in ignorance.

 

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

 

The Bible makes it clear to us that we are not dealing with flesh and blood; the things of the spirit are different from those of the physical. That is why you cannot communicate with God in your physical realm – you need your spirit man to be alive to the Spirit of God. This is the reason for being born again.

 

“but God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God …but the natural man receiveth not things of the Spirit of God: they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:10, 14

 

 The devil is not a physical being that you can feel and touch. Don’t let him manipulate you to believe that human beings are your adversaries. Note, the word wrestle in that scriptures means we are in warfare with the devil and his hierarchy of government. These include principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

The problem with a believer, who are carnally minded, is lack of spiritual understanding of the devil’s modus operandi, therefore they waste their energy praying amiss.

 

    Another misconception is praying for the destruction of your adversary the devil. You can only pray to destroy his work or influence over your life. He is a spirit that can posses human beings or use them as agents. Many believers have lost focus of this Bible based truth, because they have been distracted away from the real enemy; their attention is now on their neighbours, colleagues and relative. If you must win this warfare and overcome your adversary, then you must release all your weaponry against the devil and his government.

 

How You Can Overcome Your Adversary

 

(1) Identify your enemy:- you cannot be shadowboxing as there is a need for you to identify the areas of your life that are being challenged by the adversary. David knew that it was not Goliath that was challenging him, but the gods of the Philistines, who are against the God of Israel, and his people. That made him bold to challenge Goliath.

People have different issues that are up against them: it may be sin, finance, sickness, backwardness, marriage, lack of progress, demonic oppression etc.

 

(2) Knowledge not ignorance:- knowledge is very powerful and every warfare strategy depends on the knowledge acquired. The ability of a man’s strength is in the knowledge he has received.

 

A wise man is strong, yea a man of knowledge increaseth strength Proverbs 24:5

 

Therefore the more you know, the more reason why darkness cannot stand against you.

 

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

If the Word of God is truth, then the knowledge of the Word of God will give you adequate strength to overcome your adversary. Many believers are living in ignorance of the Word of God. They reject the knowledge of the Word of God because they don’t pay attention to study and the revelation therein. Therefore they are subject of manipulations and afflictions of the adversary because of ignorance.

 

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will forget thy children. Hosea 4:6

 

It is also important to have knowledge, through information, about the operations of the adversary that is set against you, this can come by hearing of the Word of God Romans 10:17 As you hear the Word of God, your faith increases and you trust in God’s faithfulness in being able to overcome the adversary.

 

(3) Renewal of Mind:- your mind is the place of your thought and that is where the mother of all spiritual warfare is fought, therefore you need to guide your heart diligently through the process of renewal by the Word of God and listen to positive information.

 

And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… Romans 12:2

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

 

The devil will try to infiltrate your thought with evil suggestions and negative reports; you must do everything to resist devil the adversary, by saying “no” to his advances. Don’t allow wrong counsel from your friends or colleagues to overwhelm your thought. Rely on the truth of the Word of God to triumph in your mind. That is your key to victory.

 

(4) Spiritual capacity:- there is need for you to know your spiritual capacity before you embark in a warfare against your adversary. In a wrestling match, there are weight categories. This also applies in the spiritual. In spiritual warfare there is need to increase your spiritual capacity against the enemy. If you realize you cannot fight the battle alone, inform another brother and do it together.

 

Two are better than one, because they have good reward for their labour… If one prevails against him, two shall withstand him and a three-ford cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9, 12

 

In fact the Bible says one shall put one thousand to flight while two shall put ten thousand to flight. Deuteronomy 32:30 If the spiritual capacity of the two of you is not enough, then you have to acquaint the church to join you in the warfare – although you can also increase your capacity by giving yourself to fasting, prayer and other spiritual exercises e.g. praise and listening to faith messages. Mark 9:29

 

(5) The Name of Jesus:- and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name, which is above every name. That at the Name of Jesus every knee must bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father. Philippians 2:8-11

 

There is one name that is given, that makes the adversary to tremble, and that is the Name of Jesus. It is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth; God Himself is the one that has exalted the Name of Jesus. It is an awesome name that subdues the kingdom of darkness and destroys all satanic bondage. If you have the understanding of the Name of Jesus, you are set to rule over your adversary. There is no power that can resist the Name of Jesus, in fact that is the name that brought salvation to humanity. Act 4:12

 

Therefore, begin to use that name now and you will be surprised how your mountains shall be subdued. The covenant Name of Jesus is given to all those who believe. If you confess your sins and forsake them now, believe that Jesus is your Saviour, you can be sure that all you have lost will be recovered and there will be restoration of all things to you.

Every human being on the face of the earth must ask this question before it is too late. 

There are three things that are important in this world:-

(1) God wants us to celebrate

(2) He wants us to be celebrated

(3) He wants us to celebrate others.

That is the reason for us to dance every time. But  we must be careful when some people are playing the rhythm  for us (which means when we are being celebrated).

The death of a world renown music icon that happened recently calls for a deep thought. I couldn't imagine in my widest thought that such a young man could have died with so much pain, bankrupt, and frustrated. Beloved there are so many people in isolation and sorrow in the midst of great celebration and dance of fame. They are already caught up with the tune of rhythm being play them. That is why the scripture says "Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth" (Ecclesiastes 12:1)

I remember one of my birthday parties. It was a great celebration for me, I had a lot of people around me, we were dancing, eating and drinking at the same time and I thought this will continue forever. My friends and family where around me from morning till late in the night. As a young man, I thought they will not be leaving, but suddenly later in the night I found myself lonely on my bed, then I understood that every man is accountable and responsible for his or her life decisions.

Friend, the dance is going to stop one day; don't be overwhelmed by the praises of men, don't be overtaken by your little achievements, don't be carried away by those who are celebrating your success. It may lead to destruction and total collapse of your dignity. Many icons, great men of God, celebrities, successful businessmen, enigma personalities have been cut off by it.

Now let us look at this story in the scripture:

"A certain man had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father, father, give me the portion of your goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into the far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living" And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land and he began to be in want" (Luke 15:11-14 kJV)

This is a practical life of a young man, which also is very relevant to the things that is happening in our world today. He took the portion of his own wealth from his father and then went partying with friends and deceivers. He never knew the dance will stop. He bought expensive houses, clothes, shoes, cars and exotic jewelries for himself and others, in order to be able to show the class he was made of. He daily spent beyond his limited resources until suddenly he discovered that he had an huge debt to pay. Then he became frustrated and sorrowful, his life deteriorated to an extent that he ate swine food.

"And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that county and he sent him unto his field to feed swine". "And he would pain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat and no man gave to him".

His friends deserted him, including those who were singing praises of him - until suddenly he asked himself, "what next before total collapse and death"? If you are in this situation, I want to give you a tip of the next steps you must take:

(1) You must return to your God in a genuine repentance

(2) Let Him give you an instruction on the step you must take

(3) Get counsel from men of integrity and honest report

(4) Decide not to be moved by the praises of people around you

(5) Be upright and weigh your decision carefully

(6) Don't be in the midst of those who are interested in your money and their own gain only

(7) Seek spiritual help from genuine men of God that are tested in their integrity and walk with God

(8) Don't spend beyond your financial limit

(9) Don't try to impress others in all your dealings

(10) Evaluate daily what you do and be conscious of what you sow

Peace of God

Peace is very vital to every human being on the face of the earth. A life that is defied of peace is a life that is ridden with crisis and troubles of life. That is why the word of the Lord says that we should seek peace and pursue it. (Ps 34:14) If you look around the world today, you will see that everyone desires to live in peace even so much money is being spent by the world leaders on making efforts towards having peace all over the world but yet the world is still far from knowing peace. Peace is not automatic, it is made. For a child of God, it is a heritage to live a peaceful life because the Lord God has made the provision through the Lord Jesus Christ for as many as will walk in His way. (Jn. 14:27)

Everyone desires to live in peace but many people misconstrue what it means to have peace. To some people, having much money to spend at one’s whims and caprices is to have peace as they think that deliverance from financial challenges will bring peace. To some other school of thought, peace means to be in possession of power to rule the whole world or nations.  But according to the Lord Jesus Christ, the peace of God is not as the world giveth, that is, it is not according to the dictates of worldly definitions. The first thing that we have to know in seeking for peace is that genuine peace could only come from God. (I Cor. 1:3)  Therefore, if you have not identified with the living God, you are not in a position to seek rightly for peace and it will remain ever elusive.  If you are not in Christ you cannot have peace and it takes you as an individual to make that choice to be with God. Many people are out there they have the opportunity of hearing the gospel everyday and yet they have not changed, they have not given their life to Christ, and when you ask them do you want to live in peace? Do you want peace to reign in your home?  They will say yes but yet they are not getting on the right track to get their heart desire fulfilled.

Knowing God gives the right direction towards the pursuance of peace.  Believers must know that peace is not automatic and that is why it has to be pursued according to the Psalmist.  Although the provision has been made by the Lord Jesus Christ, you must consciously seek for peace relying on the help of the Holy Spirit. To start with, a believer must be ready to go through the exercise of weeding and planting.  In the study of agriculture, weeding is all about removing things that will not make crops to grow properly so it is required that to cultivate a land for farming, you have to weed first, if you don’t weed and you planted crops, at the end of the day you will have the growing crops get choked up by weeds. The result is poor harvest or no harvest at all.   Likewise you must see yourself as a piece of land that has to be cultivated following the due process of weeding and planting if you must experience peace.  Before coming to Christ you must have naturally had a lot of earthly man’s antecedents stored up inside of you which are at variance with Christ nature and it is therefore necessary for you to weed out all the ones that are not Christ-like for you to be able to live your life to the ultimate in the Lord Jesus Christ.  What are such things that are to be weeded out? Hatred, suspicion and fear must be done away with. (Gal. 5:19-21). Those must be replaced by planting love, joy, understanding, patience and mercy knowing that the kingdom of God is all about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Rm. 14:17 – 19).

Furthermore, all the parts of you must be in harmony if you must experience peace i.e. your soul, spirit and body must be in consonance with one another.  In other words, your outward self must be in harmony with your inner self (Matt 23:1-5).  A hypocrite cannot have the peace of God.  You must live what you profess.  If you are not the same outwardly as you are inwardly, then there is a serious battle between your inner man and your outer self because you are trying to be two different persons.  Christianity is not a practice of pretence but of sincerity.  If your inner life and your outer life are at variance then you are living a life of pretence and you cannot have peace of mind and peace in your soul. (Mk. 3:25) You have to live the same life everywhere if you must lay claim to the peace of God as your heritage in the Lord.  

You must be forward looking in your quest for peace.  When you dwell on the past, then you are bound to get bogged down with distress, unhappiness, frustration and confusion. To live in the past is to live a life of defeat and definitely peace will be far from you. Do away with past guilt (Heb. 8:12).  Look forward to a bright future and let your thought dwell on positive dreams.  In addition, avoid indecision; take a clear stand for Christ. There is an inner peace that fills one who completely decides for God. You cannot serve two masters. (Matt. 6:24).

On a final note, always remember that God’s peace passes all understanding.  When you cannot understand, when you cannot see, there remains an inner peace of mind and a peace of soul that no outer conflict can shake or disturb.  (Phil. 4:7). Strive to maintain constant relationship with God who is the giver of peace and put your trust in Him.  (Is. 26:3)  Learn to depend absolutely on the Holy Spirit to enjoy the peace of God because He is your teacher and He will teach you all things.  (Jn. 14:26)
